✍️ 3 Last-Minute Tips for Language Paper 1

✅ 1. Read Like a Writer, Not Just a Reader
In the reading section, when asked to analyse language or structure, focus on how the writer creates effect—not just what happens. Ask yourself:

• What language/structural techniques are used?

• What’s the tone or mood?

• Why has the writer done that?

🧠 2. Plan Creative Writing Before You Write
Give yourself a few minutes to plan your structure for your creative writing. Whether it's a story or a description, think:

• What's my opening image?

• How will it shift or develop?

• What’s my final line?

🔁 3. Practice Pacing with a Paper
Tonight, take a look at our papers and do just one or two questions under timed conditions. You might even just plan what you would say, and then watch our walkthroughs to see what we said!
