Land and property management is a course that equips students with managing different properties that are from shops industrial buildings and houses, equipment estates. A-level subjects that are required include Mathematics and English. No laboratory work is involved in the, but fieldworks and group discussion are an essential part of the course. It is important to note that work experience is not part of the coursework. Different aspects that are usually in the coursework include Economics, Law, Property Evaluation, Management, and construction. Graduates may work as residential estate agents and as a surveyor among other related careers.
Law
Law is a subject that deals with the study of legal theory to enhance the application of law to real-life scenarios. There are no specific requirements for undertaking this course, but it is useful to have English and History. One is required to specialize in different categories of law that range from finance law, intellectual property law, media law, and child law to family law and many others. It gives an insight of the legal systems and how they work to maintain law and order within a society. No laboratory work is usually involved in the course study, but it is students are expected to take part in group discussions and watch tutorials that broaden their knowledge. Graduates may work in the law industry and serve in the justice systems.
Linguistics
Linguistics focuses on creating an understanding of the various languages that exist among people in a given social setting. Other aspects of the course include conveying the meaning of language, understanding speech sounds, and the structure of a language in general. There are no specific A-level subjects that are required to undertake this course, but it is useful to have Mathematics, English Language, Modern Foreign Language and English Literature and Language. No laboratory work is normally undertaken in the coursework and work experience is also not part of the coursework to be undertaken. Graduates from this course may work as translators, English teachers, advertising consultants and publications editor.
