We’re incredibly excited to announce a new collaboration between Primrose Kitten Academy and Medics and Me – bringing you a brand new series of free online talks to support anyone thinking about applying to study medicine. Whether you’re just beginning to explore your options or you're deep in the application process, this series is designed to make your journey smoother, better informed, and just a little less stressful.

Why This Series?

Medicine is a competitive and often overwhelming field to get into, and we know that not everyone follows the same path. This is especially true for mature students, career changers, or anyone coming from a background that isn’t traditionally represented in medical schools. That’s where Access and Gateway courses come in.

We want to make sure everyone has the information and support they need to make empowered decisions about their future. That’s why we're offering these sessions completely free, with expert guidance and a friendly space to ask all your burning questions.

In this first talk, we’ll look at:

• What Access and Gateway courses are

• Who they’re for

• How they can support your journey into medicine

• What admissions teams are looking for

• How to make the most of your course and prepare for med school applications

You’ll hear from experts who’ve helped students succeed on these paths – and from people who’ve done it themselves. There will be time for Q&A at the end too, so bring along any questions you’ve been too nervous to ask!

• Students without traditional A-level qualifications

• Career changers considering medicine

• Parents/carers supporting someone on their application journey
